During our seven starry nights and eight summer days together we will explore not only the Château and her history but also the local culture and cuisine of France.
The following itinerary is just an example of some of the things which we will share together.
Saturday | Arrival and Welcome
Let's meet at the Capitole Square in Toulouse at 10am
Then we will have a short historical tour of the city
Afterward, it's off to the Château we go!
Welcome lunch and aperitifs upon arrival
A historical tour of the Château
Dinner together
Sunday | Get to know the Château and her Surroundings
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
Stroll to the Sunday morning markets in the nearby village of Les Cabannes
Ain't No Mountain High Enough - an optional guided hike and picnic to the crystal clear lakes hidden deep in the mountains just above the Château
Or, you may choose to relax by the pool
Or, to quickly jump in the van with Karina and drive to the local village attic sales to discover some antique treasures!
BBQ dinner of local specialities on the front terrace of the Château
Monday | Out and About Châteaux Day
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
Depart at 9am to visit the markets and antique stores in the Medieval village of Mirepoix
Lunch at Relais de Mirepoix
Visit another Château in the region
Arrive back at the Château in the late afternoon to delicious delicacies baked by the Château patisserie chefs
Dinner together
Tuesday | Restore Away Day!
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
Morning yoga session in the Château atrium
Join in the restoration for the remainder of the morning - restoring the 18th Century frescoes in Le Salon de Printemps
A casual lunch together
In the afternoon you may choose to take a guided walk winding through the local villages, to relax by the pool, to play some tennis, or to continue restoring away. It is as you wish!
Late afternoon guided aperitif tasting
Dinner together in the Château Dining Room
Wednesday | We are off to Saint Lizier
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
A morning of restoration or relaxation
A half day excursion to Saint Lizier where we will visit an 18th Century Pharmacy and stop at a brocante along the way. We will also visit the enchanting gardens of the Abbaye de Combelongue on our way home to the Château
Casual dinner together, and then walk to the local village for an evening of pétanque
Thursday | Caves and Cooking
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
Optional guided visit to the prehistoric cave of Niaux - the local area is known world-wide for its Mesolithic rock-art
An afternoon of French cooking and patisserie lessons
Dinner together in the Château Dining Room
Dark, Darker & Darkest - ghost stories by candlelight in the Medieval kitchen...
Friday | Friday in Foix
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
Followed by a morning invasion to the nearby Château of Foix and markets
Let's go down in the woods for a picnic lunch in the Château parc
Dinner together
Saturday | Au Revoir Mes Amis
Petit-déjeuner at your leisure
Arrival in Toulouse at 1pm
Your shared bedroom will be furnished with finds from local brocantes, and decorated with freshly picked flowers from the Château gardens...

Cost - €3,950 per person
This includes:
daily breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by international and local chefs at the Château and all dining throughout the region,
unlimited beverages - house wine, house spirits (the drinking kind!), house beer and other various non-alcoholic drinks,
dual occupancy accommodation and shared bathroom facilities,
all organised activities,
use of the Château's facilities including tennis court, pool, bicycles and wifi in selected areas,
complimentary laundry facilities for your own use,
transfers to and from Toulouse.
