Bienvenue
We are delighted to announce that Château de Gudanes will reopen its gates in 2026 for a series of intimate, unforgettable stays.
Nestled in the serene French countryside, the Château offers a rare opportunity to experience its ongoing restoration first-hand. Each visit promises tranquility, privacy, and a touch of magic.
This dossier contains all essential details about the Château and how to reserve your place.
We warmly invite you to discover what awaits…
YOUR STAY
Each Château Experience includes curated events, but the heart of your stay is simply being here—absorbing the château’s history and peaceful surroundings.
Enjoy relaxed elegance at your own pace: join scheduled activities or skip them.
Explore the grounds, assist chefs in the kitchen, or unwind in the Salon de Rose.
Outdoor options: swim, bike, hike, or play pickle ball.
The choice is yours.
As you may know, the Château is still undergoing restoration and, while it continues to honor its 18th-century heritage, some modern comforts have been thoughtfully integrated. In 2026, the Château is fully electrified, with lighting and power outlets available in each bedroom to accommodate your devices. Wi-Fi is accessible in the common areas, and we have designated charging stations where you can conveniently power your devices during the day, ensuring that you can stay connected while fully embracing the timeless charm of the Château.
bedrooms
Each Château bedroom welcomes you with fresh garden flowers, and the calming scent of lavender. Beds feature vintage monogrammed linens, ruffled pillows, and floral sheets. Antique furnishings and heirlooms lend a refined, historic feel. Large windows frame sweeping views of the mountains and valleys.
Rooms are arranged for two guests (or three by request), with solo travelers paired thoughtfully—or given a private room if space allows. Each bedroom offers up to 70m² (775 ft²) of comfort and privacy.
BATHROOMS
Château bathrooms blend 18th-century elegance with modern comfort, featuring classic fixtures, floral wallpaper, and plush towels.
Due to historic preservation rules, ensuite bathrooms aren’t permitted. To protect original interiors, all bathrooms are shared—but beautifully appointed. Each includes a shower, toilet, and basin; one features a freestanding bath for added indulgence. Bathrooms are located on the ground floor, along with two powder rooms (one upstairs, one down) for added convenience.
A nearby dressing area offers soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a vanity—ideal for hair, makeup, or quiet moments of preparation.
DINING
At the Château, every day offers a new dining experience—whether it's a relaxed breakfast, a charming garden picnic, alfresco dining, or a refined Marie Antoinette-inspired afternoon tea. As the day transitions into evening, enjoy aperitifs and elegant candlelit dinners. The Château Chefs create a range of dishes, from family-style meals to exquisite French fine dining, all emphasizing regional specialties and seasonal ingredients. Whether you're indulging in a casual spread or a gourmet feast, each meal is designed to delight your senses.
Our team is attentive to various dietary preferences and allergies, so don't hesitate to share any special requests or requirements.
At the Château Bar, discover a selection of wines, sparkling wines, aperitifs, liquors, and refreshing beverages, including soft drinks, water, and our Chateau-made signature botanical syrups.
For those who enjoy a warm drink, we also offer a dedicated tea and coffee station in the bar. Feel free to help yourself, just as you would in the comfort of your own home.
